Foka is(was?) one of my closest friend. We met during our university life at BUET. He left us last night (May 12, 2008) while undergoing cancer treatment in California USA.
Fazlul Quader (Johney) was a BUET alumni (batch ’87 Chemical Engineering). Johney had undergone gastric cancer surgery and subsequent therapy in 2004-2005. He was doing fine all these years until recently when the doctors found cancer affected cells in his body again.
… and the rest is memory.
